- The Keep People Housed – Oakland Homelessness Prevention Program provides assistance to eligible Oakland residents who have past-due rent, or need help paying the costs of moving into a new unit they have already identified and plan to lease. Applicants are now eligible for assistance one time.
- Meeting all eligibility criteria does not guarantee financial assistance.
- Due to limited resources, only applicants at highest risk of homelessness or housing loss will be prioritized for assistance. If you are selected to receive assistance, please be aware that the program may not be able to cover all expenses that you owe.
- If you are currently at risk of losing your housing, please submit your information here to be contacted by a Care Coordinator from the Keep People Housed – Oakland Homeless Prevention Program. Please note the Keep Oakland Housed COVID-19 Rent Relief Program, which was a separate program, has closed.
- Please note, you may not submit a request for any expenses that were already covered by any other financial support program.
